Dr. George Cruz has a lifelong love of nature and art. Dr. Cruz comes from a family of painters, and has himself been painting since he was a teenager. Once he began leading naturalist and birding tours, he combined two of his great loves and has created a large oeuvre of bird paintings. Currently, Dr. Cruz is writing and illustrating a book on the birds found at San Jorge Ecolodges. You can enjoy the artwork of both Dr. Cruz and his son, Jorge Jr., at all three of our lodges, as well as online!
